Finally finished the damn thing!

Long drawn-out project. Just have to fill and bleed the brakes and work out the jetting.

Nice bike but the pipes do not work for me, just being honest here.

I agree about the mixed feelings on the gold pipes... it's different

Thanks for all the comments and feedback.  Ya, the pipe colour didn't work as I envisioned.  Maybe if they were  gloss. Enquiring minds wanted to know about the pipes (aside from colour choice). They are Moto Carrera https://www.economycycle.com/shop/yamaha-rd250350400r5ds6ds7-parts/engine-related/exhaust-chambers/moto-carrera-expansion-chambers-legendary-millenium-gps-for-rd350-rd400-rz350/ . I see they are now available in stainless, they weren't at the time I ordered them.  That would have settled the debate! I didn't like the silencer section provided with the M/C pipes so refitted the pipes with Tyga silencers http://tyga-performance.com/site/product_info.php?products_id=512 .  Good value for the money!  They will omit the logo badge on request too.
The tach is shot, anybody have a good spare?
Thanks, Mach Z

Overall I really like the bike and attention to detail!!   Pipe colors can be changed, no big deal!

It looks like a brand new bike. I'd be quite proud to go knocking around on that. Great work!
