2003 Derbi GPR 50
« on: February 11, 2017, 12:58:08 PM »
I picked up this 2003 Derbi GPR 50 from a guy over in Tampa. As the story goes, the bike was given to him by his parents to cut his racing teeth on just before his 16th birthday.  When he turned 16 he went up to 125s so the bike went into storage. At 18 he went into the Air Force, went over to Europe, came back and went to work for Homeland Security at ATL. He got the bike out of storage and had the bike piped and rejeted, got reassigned to Tampa and shifted his focus to YSRs.

Bike has a whopping 300 miles on it! Had plenty of storage scuffs and some fairing damage from getting bumped around. Crazy fun little ride, but my 190 lbs are too much for the rear shock. Six speeds--you can totally wring its neck around town and max out around 65. Most piped bike I've ever ridden in my life. walking speed up to 8,000rpm then 50cc hell breaks loose up to 12,000. Keep an eye on the for sale section. I would rather sell it then start messing with it, and I'm already daydreaming about sticking a rs125 engine in it.

These are sweet bikes. When you hunt for parts for it reference it as a 2002 to ensure that you get the right parts.
