The way I figure it, when I have so many motorcycles that one or more doesn't get ridden often enough to keep the fuel system clean, I have too many.  Four seems to be about my limit.  Jay Leno seems to have a way to keep more in good running shape.

The only 4 stroke I've ever owned (except my lawn mower engined JC Penney minibike I had as a kid).

I have an '07 Triumph Daytona 675.  It's the only 4t I've ever owned.

It's a fantastic bike, but kinda boring (unless you're going 120+), and I only ride it a few times a year.

So it's for sale!   https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/mcy/6092898451.html

Will spend the cash on supermoto wheels and dualsport farkles for my '13 KTM 300 xc-w.

The rest will go towards a cheap SV650 (or similar) to replace the D675 for sportouring.

You're right, it's a "6T9T1" - a '91 883 Hugger built to look like a '69 XLCH.  It's a VERY long story, but basically I've wanted a '69 XLCH ever since looking at a new one with my older brother  in '69.  Saw an article in "Cycle" magazine in '91 about doing a "retro" build on an Evo Sportster and knew that's what I wanted to do someday. "Someday" came about 3years ago with a surprise gift of the Hugger from my mom (with the help of my older brother).  I had to change just about everything on the Hugger to get the look I wanted, taking about 2 years to finish.  The result is the picture above. I started with the picture below..

Thanks it's a great looker. I'm a long time Sportster fan especially the pre 70 magneto Ironheads but at nearly 60 with the usual aches & pains I doubt I'd ever own one even if I could afford it. The Evos are a great practical everyday bike, would love to have mine made over to an Ironhead look.My brother was a huge Sportster fan & long time owner of Ironheads & Evos til he went to the dark side (HD Switchback) once he reached 60

Sounds familiar.  The main reason I got another bike after my RD being an "only bike" for 40 years was the "road racer crouch" was getting too uncomfortable for rides of more than very short distances.  I would not want to risk getting "Sportster knee" at my age (60), however, so this one has an electric "leg".  My older brother has gone from record setting drag bikes and nitrous equipped Gixxer 1100 street bikes to a Road Glide.  Getting old s*#@s, but it beats the alternative!

.. i cant dot he harley thing. However, im getting a 1st gen low mileage concours soon. since things have changed for me recently (newly single again, a good thing) i can now take longer trips and rides, and the ducati really just isn't the ideal bike for that. if your going to tour, go fast or at least have the option i say.  :clint:

I know I've posted this photo off the net 100 times, but this is one Harley I could enjoy.  Maybe someday someone will recognize the photo and explain the history.

To quote someone on another forum, "I never wanted a Harley, but I always wanted a Sportster".
