I'll be in the mix plan on riding my RZ500 I hope I get invited into the RZ500 parking area by the bridge... Rossi maybe able to ride by then - would make some news if he does. It's his right  leg so it is only for braking. Who needs brakes....

Didnt Kenny Roberts go on to win a 500cc championship after breaking his back at the beginning of a season? Sheesh, a broken leg is nothin....they just dont grow em like they used to...  Laugh

I was at the Kenny returns race at Sears Point where he was on a YZR500 against TZ750's. Saw him pull his leather over a back brace and painfully hop on his bike. If I remember right it was a 200 mile race so 33+ laps at the old sears point [now Infineon race way]. Guys like Steve Baker, Gene Romero, Springsteen on 750's that knew their way around a track. After 20 or so laps Kenny was like in 6th started to move up, like in 1 lap was in first doing wheelies out of every corner 5 laps to go. Waxed the boys - BAD, i was in AWE a guy with a broken back kicking ass. When he came in they had to lift him off the bike it took him like 2 minutes to straighten up to accept the trophy with a grimiest on his face. I still have some picture of that race  I will never forget it....  Kenny became my #1 Hero after that, I have meet him a number of times and he speaks freely about "so what you're in pain ride the dam bike"!!!! When Eddy broke his ankle at Laguna Seca in the 80's Kenny asked him "so how is it"? Eddy " It hurts bad' Kenny " so if you had to ride the bike to keep the life style you have enjoyed what would it take"? Eddy "some good drugs but I am there"!!! He rode with a broken ankle way to soon but finished the year on top..

Real men used to ride hurt not for $ just to see if they could..

Ok guys - I have about 10 Turn 5 parking passes in my hot little hands now, so if you are coming to Laguna and want a pass, send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll mail them off to you. (2-stroke riders get 1st preference)

These passes should get you in via the main gate off Hwy 68, so you don't have to go to the back-40 gate and ride for miles to get into the track. And, if you're riding a Yamaha, these will get you into their Turn 5 parking corral.....

2 weeks to go.... Dance

I've mailed out the passes, so you guys should see them in a day or two. If you haven't received your requested amount by this weekend, send me a PM or post here....

ONE WEEK AWAY...!!!

All the usual smokers who come to Laguna will be missed this year... seems the head count is at an all-time low...  Sad

+1 Tom!  awesome parking setup again.

managed to gather a small herd of 4 RZ500s, an RZ350, RD350, and a couple RD400s . Plenty of droolers passing by.
