Hey, that l;ooks pretty good by my eye! Sure that's a '71 though? Paint scheme looks like a '73-'77 to me if it's the bike pictured in the link. Congrats and have fun!

I googled 1971 kawasaki 100 and got this pic from the net. the colors on my rusted gas tank are red and black. I assume my rolling frame is '71. Between 3 dirt bikes bought this winter I have enough parts to make one bike. last year I did a '74 ke125. got that well preserved basement dweller on ebay for 150$. the guy posted in the wrong section and got no bids except mine.

I am surprised and delighted I'm not being laughed off the board with my $70 cl find.  will post a pic this weekend.

the engine is shot. all I needed from it was the shifter lever. the one on last years ke is stripped. I have other plans for the motor. wont be sure if I can fit the engine till this weekend. I have a new motor.

things not starting out too well. not much room to fit. cant use the '83 frame because it has no title. '71 no problem. please make comments.

Two different mock ups. the first uses the kdx swing arm. I don't like the look. looks like a hill climber. I'm going to use the old school look. that means after three weekends of playing with engine mounting the engine still needs to be moved 12mm to the right. I also will need a new rear sprocket. the gas tank has been moved 1 inch higher and clears the spark plug.

I kinda like the kdx swinger on it  :twocents:  It does look a little long, but I don't think nearly enough to make it look like a hill climber

I couldent agree more. those kdx parts are totally bad ass. they just dont want to fit.

dig the project! looks like it will come together with a little massaging here, some grinding there, maybe some welding over there. Ya know, the fun stuff.

1974 kawasaki enduro, ke 125, A4 or A5? not sure because my service manual starts at 1976 A6. 210lbs.

Floating voltage bike with both 6v and 12v outputs. Battery eliminator from a computer power supply.         Re-wired magnito. Crispy wires replaced. Transistorized ignition. Custom wiring harness and wiring. Main switch on top of headlight. Sends all power to the ignition for an easy start, then just one flick to turn on electronics.

Custom 34 tooth rear sprocket, the 50 tooth stock sprocket was not streetable. Shortened chain to fit. Same rear teeth as the G3.

Knobbies changed to DOT approved tires. New front wheel bearings and seal.

Rebuilt transmission.

Custom bars. Custom exhaust.

Clip on, Clip off license plate, I park it, they can't ticket it.

Bored 1mm over, with new piston and rings. 57mm.

Air box removed but kept the boot for an open look, custom air filter, premix. LED turn signals and flasher fix ordered but not as yet installed.
